Sue Nickels Visits Pieces and Patches Quilt Guild

On September 30, 2013, we were privileged to have master quilter Sue Nickels from Ann Arbor, Michigan present her program "Machine Quilting for Today's Quilts".  She shared her journey that led her to becoming an internationally known, award winning quilter. She and her sister, Pat Holly, collaborate on most of their quilts.
Sue also taught a workshop entitled "Folk Garden Borders" where we learned to do machine applique, the method Sue uses on most of her quilts.

Each participant made a small table runner in learning the technique.

WE WERE ABLE TO SEE SEVERAL OF SUE'S BEAUTIFUL QUILTS.
